SpaGuard Chlorinating Concentrate

Pre-Treatment:

1. Make sure all spa and tub equipment is functioning correctly.
2. Backwash or clean the filter system according to the manufacturer's instructions.
3. Adjust the pH levels to between 7.2 and 7.6.
4. When using other products mentioned in these directions, always follow the specific instructions for those products.
5. Spas should be drained and cleaned at least every 60 days or when the water becomes difficult to manage or keep clear.
6. Avoid using oils, salts, or lotions unless they are specifically designed for spas and hot tubs, as these can cause cloudy water.

Routine Maintenance:

1. With the pump running, add 1/2 teaspoon of this product per 100 gallons of water for the initial treatment.
2. Repeat this process every 15-20 minutes until a chlorine residual of 3-5 ppm is reached, as measured by a test kit.
3. Use the test kit regularly to determine how often to add this product in order to maintain the chlorine residual at 3-5 ppm.

Superchlorination:

1. Add 1 teaspoon of this product per 100 gallons of water.
2. Superchlorination may be required nightly for heavily used spas, or as little as once a week for spas that are moderately used.
