Natural Chemistry Spa Bromine Tablets

Pre-Treatment:

1. Before using Brominating Tablets in your spa or hot tub for the first time, add 1/2 oz. of sodium bromide for every 100 gallons of water.
2. Follow the same procedure each time you drain and refill your spa or hot tub with fresh water.

Treatment:

1. Add 3 tablets for every 300 gallons of spa water, using a floating tablet feeder or an automatic brominator installed on the spa equipment.
2. Adjust the feeder or brominator to maintain an active bromine residual of at least 2 ppm at all times.
3. Spa water may foam and become cloudy, which is often linked to frequent spa use. This cloudiness is caused by body oils, fats, and other contaminants that are too small for the filtration system to remove.
4. To help clear the water, use defoamers, clarifiers, shock treatments, demineralizers, or sequestering agents.
5. If water clarity cannot be restored, it is recommended to drain, clean, and refill the spa.
