Preparing Your Pool with Baquacil Sanitizer

For freshly filled and dechlorinated pools

If your pool water appears hazy or contains algae, consult your local Baquacil Dealer for guidance.

1. Backwash or chemically clean your pool filter.
2. Test and adjust the pH to maintain levels between 7.2 and 7.6.
3. Add Baquacil Sanitizer to achieve a concentration of 50 ppm (use 1/2 gallon per 10,000 gallons of pool water).
4. After 24 hours, retest the pH and Baquacil Sanitizer levels using Baquacil Test Strips, and adjust as needed.

Weekly Pool Maintenance Routine

1. Test your Baquacil Sanitizer concentration and pH weekly.
2. Maintain a sanitizer level around 50 ppm. If the level drops by 10 ppm or more, add a top-up dose.
3. Avoid letting the level drop below 30 ppm.

Troubleshooting and Pool Care Tips

• Avoid use in freestanding spas or hot tubs.
• Do not use in unpainted plaster pools that may have been exposed to metals, as this could cause staining.
• Baquacil is not compatible with some detergents and copper-based algicides.
